Humanity was in its infancy stage of space travel. What was always thought to take hundreds of years just to travel to suitable planetary systems, turned out to only takes a few years. They wanted their maiden voyage to be completely successful, spending years to prepare even though they could have gone sooner. A massive ship was constructed to carry not only a million humans, but some of every resource, food, and technology. Very few farm animals were to be taken, but upon arrival, frozen embryos would be used to grow large farm steads.

The ship and preparing it was the easy part. Finding the perfect planet to go to was much harder. Habitable ones were rare, and after finding a few, it took ages to finally decide which one to travel to. Named something scientific and unattractive, the chosen planet was similar, but still largely different to Earth. Oceans were a lot smaller, and the surface seemed to mostly be comprised of rocks. As for Oxygen, scans revealed oxygen producing plant life.

While only the most capable humans were chosen to partake on the journey, a specialized military force was created just for the destination. It wasn't the passengers that they had to look out for, but rather, the possibility of alien life. The universe still seemed devoid of anything other than humans, but being prepared didn't hurt. Armor, weapons, and vehicles were still rather basic, as bullets and explosives were used mostly.

As soon as plans were finalized, not a single thing went wrong with traveling towards the chosen planet. The ship was specially designed to permanently attach itself to the rocky surface, boring nearly a mile deep. This became the central hub of humans on the planet, and was quickly nicknamed the Spire, with how tall and narrow it was.

Early scans back on Earth were accurate, to everyone's relief. The planet was rocky with small vegetation, and even smaller oceans. Instead of trees and forests, bushes were among the largest types of plants native to the planet. Wood wasn't used much anymore, and thanks to the high density of metals, colonization could go on without hindrance.

With the Spire's size, and lights scattered all along it, the first months of exploration didn't require any maps or guidance systems at all. As long as people could see its towering form out in the distance, they knew exactly how to get back home. The surrounding areas were quickly developed and populated, turning into farms, factories, and homes. Eventually, after the planet was deemed safe, smaller towns were allowed to develop miles away from the safety of the spire, only connected by roads. Guard posts were sparingly built up in areas, as there was no need to be overly defensive with no aliens in sight.

After the first year on the planet, people began noticing something rather peculiar happening. Everyone thought they were starting to hallucinate, and when scientists began investigating after tons of reports, they found something that never seemed possible. Running test after test, it was determined that the planet was radiating staggering levels of estrogen. Whether it was in the water, air, plants, or rocks, every part of the planet was saturated. What everyone thought were visions, were actually every man turning feminine.

Panic set in after it was officially announced, but since it was realistically safe, people eventually accepted it. As the years went by, the typical masculine form slowly disappeared, only to be preserved in media and knowledge. Only the oldest of men retained some of their looks, but as children were born, everyone resembled girls. Luckily, males still existed biologically, allowing new children to come along. Since a publicly accepted name for the planet had yet to be chosen, everyone grew to like the name "Estro", signifying the unique aspect of it.

While everyone looked like women now, the roles of men were still highly fulfilled by the ones transformed by the planet. They were stronger and more aggressive than actual women, but less so than they used to be. Women themselves didn't go without change, however. They became much hornier, so much so that they didn't care if the look of a man didn't exist any longer, especially when what they desired still resided within the pants of transformed men. As lust skyrocketed across the planet, it was almost impossible to not see a pregnant woman while out on your day. With population booming, settlements were built so fast that you heard about a new town every month. Other than the possibility of overpopulation, no one grew worried as they could just find another planet to settle. Decades went by, and after the 50th anniversary of the Spire settling down, half of the planet had humans living in a town somewhere.

Everything seemed perfect for the longest time, until the latest town suddenly disappeared. It had been settled in an area found to be high in valuable metals, making most of the residents being involved in mining. A civilian driving to visit someone in the town discovered the disappearance, wasting no time in reporting it. Every high ranked official and military officer went on high alert, assembling a squad to find out what happened.

Every inch of the town was scoured, and when nothing turned up, they went for the mine next. Before they could venture very far into the dark tunnels, one of the missing people appeared. She was completely naked,  weak, and afraid, barely able to stand or talk. Looking up into the bright lights of their rifle-mounted lights, she spoke. "We're... not alone... on this planet..."

Ooo, but I get to vote on this one, right? What a fun change of pace. :3 I like the idea of the poor miner being pregnant with creatures. A wonderful introduction to the alien species on this planet as it slides its way from between its unwilling mother's legs as she screams it out, or tears out of her tummy for all to see.
